On July 28, the delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov met with the Minister of Labor, Health and Welfare of Japan, Kasunobu Kato.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed some aspects and factors hindering the successful implementation of agreements in labour migration concluded between the countries, and measures for their effective implementation.
Labour relations between Uzbek citizens coming to Japan for temporary work and gaining experience and Japanese employers and labour conditions created in existing enterprises were thoroughly reviewed.
Sides also discussed establishing a certain amount of wages paid to citizens of Uzbekistan in Japanese enterprises, providing social protection mechanisms for workers, covering the costs of insurance related to the health of citizens, complying with the norms of working conditions and avoiding forced labour.
