Ecostickers for cars will be mandatory in Uzbekistan
From June 1, Uzbekistan will start phased introduction of the "Ecological Transport" system to control compliance with permissible standards of harmful emissions into the atmosphere from all categories of vehicles.
Car owners will be issued free of charge, based on the results of a diagnostic inspection of their cars, with tamper-proof green, yellow or red eco-stickers with electronic markings depending on the vehicle's harmful emissions, limiting the passage of cars to certain ecological zones of the city. Owners of electric cars and new cars, as well as vehicles, from the date of manufacture of which no more than three years have passed, will receive green eco-stickers free of charge and without diagnostics.
This is stipulated by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers
"On measures to reduce the negative impact of vehicles on the atmospheric air". According to the adopted document, the territories until 2030 will be divided into ecological zones based on the real environmental situation related to air pollution - "clean" (green), "medium" (yellow) and "harmful" (red). The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of cities and regions will be in charge of defining and changing the boundaries of ecological zones in the regions on the proposals of the Ministry of Ecology.
Thus, drivers of motor vehicles, whose environmental parameters do not correspond to the zone of the region, except for emergency services and public transport, will not be able to enter it
