Uzbekistan's Economic Landscape: A Drive towards Dynamic Development in the Service Sector

Practical experience demonstrates that businesses exhibit accelerated and more efficient operations when characterized by low costs and high income. These attributes align predominantly with the service sector, encompassing domains such as transport, banking and finance, consumer services, construction, tourism, trade, and others.

Over the past two decades, the service industry has emerged as one of the most dynamically evolving sectors in the global economy. Simultaneously, it stands as a major source of employment in both urban and rural areas. This phenomenon is attributed to the escalating complexity of production, market saturation with new products, and the rapid pace of scientific and technological progress.

According to the International Labor Organization, a mere one percent increase in the service industry can lead to a 1.5 percent reduction in the number of impoverished individuals. The contemporary significance of its development resonates throughout the entire national economic complex.

The role of the service sector in today's economy extends beyond its prevalence in infrastructure; it is integral to key factors driving economic growth, such as scientific knowledge, intangible forms of accumulation, information technology, and the globalization of economic activity.
