The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan held an official reception on September 20 to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Uzbekistan's Independence.
Representatives from Japanese ministries and agencies, diplomatic corps accredited in Tokyo, international organizations, business and scientific circles, Uzbek national cultural centers, and compatriots studying and working in Japan participated in the event.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Mukhsinhoja Abdurakhmanov, began the event with a welcoming speech. He talked about Uzbekistan's progress in social life and extensive reforms. Additionally, he highlighted the strengthening relationship between Uzbekistan and Japan.
In his speech, Youichi Fukazawa, the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on their national holiday on behalf of the government of Japan.
Renowned artists and musicians from Uzbekistan performed captivating songs, earning applause from attendees at the reception. The participants were delighted to indulge in the delectable Uzbek national cuisine.
The exhibition of Uzbek national crafts and artwork at the ceremony impressed reception guests.
