Uzbekistan and Japan strengthen green economy cooperation

On July 27, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov met with Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yasutoshi Nishimura during his visit to Japan.

Mr Nishimura asked to convey his congratulations to President Sh.M. Mirziyoev on his victory in the recent presidential election.

Minister Nishimura expressed interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan, the Central Asian locomotive, human capacity building, industrial development, and transition to a green economy.

Uzbek delegation stressed that its 7-year development plan demonstrates its commitment to reforms initiated by its government.

The parties agreed that bilateral cooperation should focus on green transformation, sustainable development, and small and medium businesses in the future.
