At the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to participate in the first summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Central Asian countries on July 19 in Jeddah.
According to the Press Service of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the upcoming high-level meeting provides for the participation of the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the Secretary General of the Council.
In accordance with the agenda, issues of developing interregional cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres will be considered. An exchange of views on topical aspects of international and regional politics will take place.
A number of bilateral meetings are planned to be held within the framework of the summit.
