Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” TITF-2023

From November 15 to 17, 2023, Tashkent will host the 28th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” TITF 2023. The organizers of the fair are the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre”, and the company “Team & Co Group”. The pavilion of the National Exhibition Complex “UzExpoCentre” has traditionally been chosen as the venue of the fair.

The Tashkent International Tourism Fair is the largest informational event promoting tourism products and establishing business contacts and communication for cooperation. TITF has been held since 1995 with the support of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Annually, the exhibition gathers hundreds of professionals from the tourism industry and creates the best conditions for the development of this industry at an international level.

Last year, after a 2-year pause, the grandiose return of TITF-2022 took place. For the first time in the history of TITF, the Tashkent International Tourism Fair was organized in the form of a public-private partnership without attracting budget funds.  During three days, from November 30 to December 2, the fair was visited by more than 11,000 people. Also, according to the results of TITF-2022, representatives of 300 companies took part in the fair, where 7000 contracts were signed. The initiators of the fair were the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR-Centre”. 

This year the fair will bring together experts in the tourism business from all over the world and, in many ways, it will be useful to all representatives of this sphere: employees of leading travel and transport companies, major hotel chains, diplomatic corps, educational institutions in the field of tourism, as well as representatives of MICE tourism.

An international forum with the participation of leading international and domestic experts in the field of tourism will be held in the business part of TITF-2023. B2B meetings, round tables, exhibitions of tourist services and handicrafts, presentations of regions of Uzbekistan with tourist potential, a fashion show with famous international and national designers, and a gastro-bazaar with the participation of domestic and international chefs are also planned.

It is also necessary to note the significant support of TITF from the state. Thus, under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference was held on September 19, 2022, dedicated to measures to further increase the potential of domestic and inbound tourism. In addition, in November 2019, a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize the annual Tashkent International Tourism Fair” Tourism on the Silk Road” was adopted. All this determined the positive dynamics of the development of the international tourism fair.
