In the Address by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and the People of Uzbekistan the year of 2023 was declared as “The Year of Human Care and Quality Education”.
Hence, this year special attention will be given to the development of the field of education in the country.
During the process of developing and modernizing the field of education, the experience gained from the Presidential schools under the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions will be also implemented.
Since 2019, The Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan has established 14 Presidential Schools across Uzbekistan to provide gifted young people with a world-class education. The Agency also coordinates Specialized schools, Creativity schools and the New Uzbekistan University.
The establishment of Presidential Schools is part of a greater effort to provide high-quality, accessible education in Uzbekistan.
Presidential Schools set a goal to prepare the next generation of leaders to actively and positively contribute to the development of Uzbekistan. These schools offer opportunities to students from all backgrounds and impact the wider public education in Uzbekistan.
By establishing a Presidential School in each of the country’s 14 regions, the program aims to ensure that all young people have the opportunity to benefit from the improved education system in Uzbekistan, including those from disadvantaged areas.
The program of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions also encourages young people to apply to prestigious universities, both in Uzbekistan and abroad, which has proven to be a success based on the first graduating cohort in 2021. All graduates of the schools under the Agency have been accepted for higher educational programs.
As mentioned by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his Address: “The current policy of openness of the country, the rise of foreign investment inflow and increasing numbers of enterprises are strengthening the desire of youth to master modern knowledge and foreign languages. This dictates the need to attract experienced and highly qualified foreign teachers to schools.”
To support this direction, the Agency recruits experienced national and international teachers for the opportunity to become part of its educational initiative.
