Uzbekistan participates in the JATA International Exhibition in Japan with its national stand

On 22 September, the International Exhibition "JATA Tourism Expo Japan 2022" began its work at the International Exhibition Center in Tokyo, Japan. In order to implement the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to create joint tourism programs on the principle of "One view - the whole region", the delegation of Uzbekistan participates in a single stand created in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, Japan International Cooperation Agency.

“The tourism industry was identified by the President of Uzbekistan as one of the strategic directions of the national economy of the country. Uzbekistan and Japan have great potential in the field of tourism. The history of Japanese travel to Uzbekistan dates back many centuries, because the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties of this country developed along the Great Silk Road. The countries of Central Asia with a large number of natural and cultural heritage sites undoubtedly have huge tourism potential. With such potential, we will definitely show the best tourist destinations to tourists tired of the pandemic,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, who opened the stand of Uzbekistan at the International Exhibition “JATA Tourism Expo Japan 2022” and invited participants of the exhibition and representatives of the Japanese tourism business to actively participate in international events.

During the exhibition, detailed information was provided on reforms in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan, including visa facilitation, the introduction of electronic visas, new tourist facilities and tourist routes, as well as samples of Uzbek national art.

The opening of the stand of Uzbekistan was also attended by the chairman of the Japanese travel agency Koichi Wada, who spoke and wished everyone success.

It should be noted that Uzbek tour operators also took part in the International Exhibition "JATA Tourism Expo Japan 2022", participating in B2B meetings with Japanese tour operators and colleagues coming from other countries.
