The total cost of the project, which was launched last year, is more than $16 million. 1 million pairs of shoes were manufactured and more than 2 thousand people were employed at the first stage.
The company offers a wide range and high-quality products. Local raw materials are used mainly, due to which a low cost is achieved. Thanks to this, the products compete with foreign analogs and replace imports. The export target is $12 million.
At the second stage, it is planned to increase the capacity to 2 million pairs. For this purpose, residents of 18 nearby mahallas will be provided home-based work. As a result, more than 5 thousand women will be employed.
The Head of the state also visited a textile enterprise that is part of the Bahodir Logon cotton and textile cluster. It produces 10 thousand tons of products per year. Equipment from Japan, Turkey, Germany and Switzerland is installed here. Production and painting of yarn and fabric are established. 480 people, including 300 youth, are employed.
The implementation of the second stage of the enterprise is planned for 2022. As a result, it is planned to employ 1.8 thousand people and export products worth $16 million.
The President noted the need for deepening the processing of raw materials, expanding the range of products, and most importantly, entering promising markets.
