Increasing the coverage of the population with medical care considered
On July 27, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev heard a report on the work carried out to counter the coronavirus pandemic in the city of Tashkent, to increase the effectiveness of the fight against the spread of infection and the coverage of the population with qualitative and timely medical care.
The Head of the state keeps the epidemiological situation under constant control. Almost every meeting is devoted to this problem. In particular, at July 15 videoconference, the President criticized the state of affairs in monitoring the epidemiological situation in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, gave instructions to create conditions for timely and correct treatment of the disease.
In pursuance of these orders, large-scale organizational work is being carried out in the capital. So, in the pavilion of Uzexpocentre NEC, the Gymnastics Palace, the Yoshlik sports complex of Yunusabad district and other buildings, conditions are created for examining persons suspected of coronavirus and organizing treatment. They are equipped in accordance with the established requirements, provided with necessary medical equipment.
To provide assistance to patients, including with pneumonia, 10 special polyclinics have been organized. Their round-the-clock activities have been established to advise and treat citizens who have applied.
The presentation-discussion was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of central institutions, ministries and agencies, representatives of other organizations actively involved in ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being in the country.
The Head of the state focused on the importance of supporting the national healthcare system in the context of a pandemic, including by recruiting medical personnel to the newly created distribution centers and new clinics based on sports complexes in the capital, attracting military personnel and medical specialists of military medical institutions to measures on organizing effective treatment of infected with the coronavirus.
The importance of timely daily remuneration for the work of involved medical workers per shift, their provision with necessary personal protective equipment, food and accommodation was emphasized.
Following the discussions, heads of responsible structures were given specific instructions on organizing further activities in this direction.
