At the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on February 25-26.
According to the Press service of the Head of our state, the agenda of the upcoming high-level talks will include issues related to the further development and expansion of Uzbekistan-Pakistani strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
The discussions will focus on joint plans to increase mutual trade volumes, enhance transport connectivity, unlock transit potential, and promote cooperative projects in light industry, leather industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, and other sectors of the economy.
The topics of strengthening cultural, humanitarian, and tourism ties will also be addressed. A wide-ranging exchange of views on current international and regional issues is also expected.
At the conclusion of the summit, the adoption of a Joint Declaration and several bilateral documents is planned.
As part of the business agenda of the visit, the leaders will also participate in a joint Uzbek-Pakistani business forum.
