Uzbekistan's President Receives Top Honor from Turkic States Organization



During the Council of Heads of State meeting of the Organization of Turkic States, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan was honored with the prestigious "Highest Order of the Turkic World." This recognition commends his significant contributions to fortifying the unity of Turkic peoples and vigorously advancing the interests and perspectives of Turkic nations on the global stage.

The award ceremony, attended by distinguished leaders, including President Qasim-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Ilhom Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Sadir Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, and the national leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, marked a momentous occasion.

The President of Kazakhstan, on behalf of the organization's leaders, presented the award to President Mirziyoyev. During the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to his colleagues and regarded the award as a symbol of their close friendship and growing cooperation rooted in true fraternal bonds.

The Turkic world's influence and potential have been on a remarkable rise, particularly during recent times. Since Uzbekistan's accession to the Organization of Turkic States in 2019, the country has proposed over 50 initiatives aimed at enhancing friendship, good neighborliness, and multilateral cooperation among Turkic nations.

During Uzbekistan's chairmanship of the organization, over 100 diverse events were organized, new effective mechanisms for practical cooperation were established, and strong partnership relationships with influential global and regional organizations were forged. Uzbekistan's multifaceted and mutually beneficial connections with all member states of the organization continue to expand, marked by increasing trade volumes and strengthened collaboration.

President Mirziyoyev concluded by emphasizing the harmonious and unified aspirations of the Turkic peoples, highlighting their age-old bonds as friends and brothers, and expressing a shared commitment to building a bright future together.
