The President of Uzbekistan has planned a business trip to Tajikistan

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be in Dushanbe on September 14-15, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to participate in the Consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the summit of the International Fund for Saving the Island.

At the fifth meeting of Central Asian leaders, they discussed expanding cooperation in various areas, such as politics, trade, investments, transport, energy, agriculture, ecology, and culture. The heads of the states also talked about promoting joint programs and projects, encouraging exchange, and taking measures to address modern security threats and risks.

At the thirtieth-anniversary jubilee meeting, leaders from the founding countries of the International Fund for Saving the Island will discuss regional partnerships for managing and using water resources efficiently. They will also explore ways to enhance the fund's activities.

Several multilateral documents are set to be adopted after the events.
