Uzbek DPM holds meeting with All Nippon Airlines management


As part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Japan, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abduhakimov held talks with the Vice President of the All Nippon Airlines (ANA) airline Junichiro Miyagawa. 

At the meeting, the issues of launching direct flights from Japan to the historical cities of our country, increasing the flow of Japanese tourists to our country, and implementing projects in the field of tourism were discussed.

The Japanese side was informed about the rich tourist potential of Uzbekistan and the fundamental reforms being implemented in the field under the leadership of the head of state, including measures related to the liberalization of the civil aviation market, the introduction of the open sky regime at the territorial airports of our country, and the benefits in the field of service. Special attention was also paid to the establishment of the new modern airport terminal in Samarkand and the "Silk Road Samarkand" tourist center.

Junichiro Miyagawa, on his part, noted that Uzbekistan is an attractive country for Japanese tourists and noted that due to the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the interest of Japanese tourists in the history and cultural heritage of our country is increasing.

Starting from 4 August 2022, regular flights on the international route "Tashkent – Tokyo – Tashkent" by JSC "Uzbekistan Airways" and close cooperation in the development of civil air transport have been established. was invited.

At the end of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to hold promotional activities for the promotion of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Japan with the support of the Japan Association of Tourist Agencies (JATA), and to organize an info-tour with the participation of foreign tour companies and media representatives.

At the same time, a visit of the management of the ANA airline company was planned in order to get acquainted with the transport logistics of Uzbekistan, in particular, the new airport infrastructure in Samarkand, and to hold face-to-face negotiations with the heads of relevant organizations. In addition, it was agreed to develop the charter program of All Nippon Airlines from Tokyo and Osaka to Samarkand.
