On May 7, 2020 President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree “On measures to further support to export activities”.

On May 7, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference on measures to increase the economic potential of districts and cities in Andijan, Navoi and Surkhandarya regions.

At the start of a video conference on May 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expounded once more on the efforts in progress in our country to combat the coronavirus infection as well as on the disasters in Bukhara and Syrdarya regions. 

Due to heavy rain and wind, on May 1 in the morning, part of the dam on the Sardoba reservoir in the Syrdarya region was broken. As a result of the natural disaster, significant damage was caused to settlements, communication systems and agricultural land.

UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan Helena Fraser and OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan John MacGregor joined by the representative of ministries and agencies paid a visit to Altinkul village in Pakhtakor district of Jizzakh region, built within “Prosperous Villages” Program.
