Recently, various, often mutually opposing opinions have begun to appear on social media regarding the growth of public debt in connection with external borrowings aimed at mitigating the effects of the pandemic. 

In the days after the first coronavirus cases were confirmed, Uzbekistan has implemented bold and early health and social distancing measures to depress the spread of COVID-19.

Unprecedented measures are being taken on a global scale to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, in particular by the introduction of restrictions on the movement of people and the suspension of enterprises.

The article assesses the impact of the anti-crisis measures taken based on the analysis of the volume of cargo transported, and describes the problems of the industry by type of transport in the current circumstances caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. Concrete measures are formulated to mitigate the negative impact on economic development.
