President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Tokyo on an official visit.

At the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Japan on December 18-20.

Consistent efforts to harmonize the legal framework, remove barriers, and establish unified industrial standards open new opportunities for attracting capital and implementing joint projects in energy, engineering, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors.

The two nations have much to learn from one another. In cultural life—whether in theater, cinema, national ethnographic songs and maqoms, or oral folk traditions—the development of national performing arts continues to advance through mutual cooperation and is taking on modern forms.

The year 2025 is marked by an exceptional concentration of commemorative and landmark anniversaries. It is particularly noteworthy that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act of the CSCE. At the anniversary 80th session of the General Assembly, the international community once again reaffirmed the need to transform the UN’s work identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, revising the procedure for implementing mandates, and exploring potential structural changes and program restructuring.

8 December marks Constitution Day in the Republic of Uzbekistan - a date that holds a distinct place in the nation’s modern history.
