On November 30 – December 2, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit the United Arab Emirates and will take part in the World Summit on Combating Climate Change, which will be held within the framework of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28) in Dubai.

Reforming society, aimed at comprehensive modernization and socio-economic breakthrough, cannot be imagined without liberalization and the formation of an effective system for the protection of human rights and freedoms. And it is quite natural that in the reforms of Uzbekistan, much attention is paid to the democratization of all aspects of social life. One of the steps towards achieving these goals was constitutional reform.

Climate change is one of the most serious threats to sustainable development and human well-being in the 21st century. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the average global surface temperature has increased by 1.1°C compared to pre-industrial times, and the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has reached record levels.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, over the past few years our country has undergone an accelerated economic transformation and is increasingly appearing in the international community as one of the symbols of openness, innovation and determination in removing various kinds of barriers to business and investment. At the same time, world practice and experience show that the problems that hinder the investment and innovation activity of business can no longer be solved by simple tools - the provision of preferences or the publication of new declarative norms.

Issues of women's equality and safety have become an integral part of modern society, both at the international level and at the level of each country. Violence against women is one of the most serious problems that exists in many forms in many cultures and societies. Therefore, the fight against this evil is necessary and requires constant discussion and action by all participants of society.

Central Asia stands out as one of the world's most vulnerable regions to the impacts of climate change. With features such as drought, highly fluctuating temperatures, low rainfall, and an uneven distribution of resources, the region is notably susceptible to the effects of climate change.

The new version of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan has laid a solid foundation for the stable development of statehood, socio-political, socio-economic, and legal spheres. This acknowledgment is particularly highlighted in the decree titled "On preparing for and conducting the celebration of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan," signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 16, 2023.

The new version of the Constitution, adopted in the referendum held in our country on April 30, 2023, created the political and legal basis for the implementation of the New Uzbekistan strategy and determined the priority directions for the further development of the state and society at the historically important stage of the development of national statehood.

​On the initiative of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the month of the Sustainable Development Goals is being held in the country, within the framework of which over 20 events are held - international conferences, round tables, public hearings dedicated to each of the Sustainable Development Goals adopted in Uzbekistan.
