On 23 September, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the highest level general political debates at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs 

The long-awaited intra-Afghan negotiations on the establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan started in Qatar. The meeting of the IRA government delegation with the Taliban in Doha has already been called "A historic opportunity for peace in Afghanistan".

On 26 August 2020 the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Valdai International Discussion Club held an online conference on the topic "Opportunities of Russia and Central Asian States in Afghanistan".

The international videoconference “China – Pakistan Economic Corridor and Central Asia: Emerging connectivity opportunities” was held on September 9with the participation of leaders and experts from analytical and research centers from China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

On behalf of the multiethnic people of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed sincere gratitude to the heads of state and government, prominent foreign political and public figures, chiefs of international organizations and financial institutions for their congratulatory letters on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of our national independence.
